Membership of the Faculty of Travel Medicine - Part A

Part A Part B
  • The purpose of the assessment is to benchmark achievement of a level of experience and training expected of fully independent travel medicine practitioners.

    Award of the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Travel Medicine indicates that a candidate has reached the standard necessary for independent practitioner status for medical staff.

    Nurse travel health practitioners and pharmacists will continue to be subject to the requirements of their own regulatory body.


    A Bursary Fund has been established by the British Global and Travel Health Association to assist eligible members who may have difficulty in meeting the examination fee for Part B. Contact us for details - please include your membership ID number. Details will then be forwarded to the appropriate contact.

    Membership of the College

    Candidates who are successful in the Part A (or possess an exempting qualification) and Part B examinations will be invited to proceed to admission to the College.
