NHS Education for Scotland’s Medical Directorate Awards recognises the quality of medical education and training across Scotland. Running as a series of events through the College, the Critical Care Updates Group have been commended from these awards in the category of Innovation in Training.
Run in partnership between the College and the West of Scotland Intensive Care Society, Critical Care Updates are a series of web streamed events focussing on a different topic each time. These are aimed at practitioners in all acute specialities from core training through to consultant.
Event Director Dr Paul McConnell said of the award:
“The Critical Care Updates team are thrilled by their recognition at the NHS Education for Scotland Medical Directorate Awards. Our goal has always been to provide high quality critical care teaching which is free and easily accessible to all specialities and grades. We’re hugely thankful to all our wonderful speakers who gave up their time to share their knowledge and experience and to our partners at the RCPSG who have helped facilitate this, turning it from a local endeavour to a national resource. We look forward to our return in September with another year of great evenings and education.”
