Conference Attentive Writers Healthcare Authorship and Authority
04 Jul 2012
This conference brings this established field of inquiry regarding ‘the physician as writer’ into dialogue with recent calls for a more inclusive approach to the Medical Humanities.

This conference brings this established field of enquiry regarding ‘the physician as writer’ into dialogue with recent calls for a more inclusive approach to the Medical Humanities (i.e. ‘Health Humanities’) and questions the authoritative place of the Western – traditionally male – physician in our explorations of the humanities/health interface.
There are still a limited number of places available to those wishing to attend the conference, and the four plenary lectures will be open to those who have not registered for the full conference.
The registration form and the draft programme are available on the conference website at: http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/critical/research/conferences/attentivewriters/.
The full delegate registration fee is £65, and there is a discounted student/unwaged rate of £35. If you would like to attend, please return the registration form with payment to the address provided by 16th of August.
