The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is to reopen its headquarters in the city in January 2018 following a £2.75million refurbishment programme.
Glasgow’s College, which is the UK’s only multidisciplinary Royal College and supports 14,000 members across the world in upholding the highest medical standards and professionalism, has transformed its St Vincent Street property over the past year.
The College, which has been the professional home to ground-breaking clinicians from David Livingstone to Joseph Lister, has now refreshed and revamped its educational facilities to ensure that it’s better equipped than ever to support modern clinicians to meet the increasing demands placed on them.
In addition to maintaining and enhancing the historic fabric of the building and its conference facilities, the College has expanded its on-site clinical skills facilities and modernised its e-Learning capacity to re-establish 232-242 St Vincent Street as a contemporary, cutting edge centre for medical excellence.
Fellows, Members and friends of the College are now invited to join with staff on the evenings of Monday 15 or Wednesday 17 January to celebrate this exciting new development and discover the new interior and expanded facilities of our refurbished College building.
The evening will include drinks and canapes, a tour of the venue, and live demonstrations in our newly developed clinical skills area.
