Executive Assistant

Grade 3 - £23,466.30 - 35 hours per week

The Role

The post-holder, working alongside members of the College Leadership Team and the relevant chair-people, will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of a number of key functions, groups and boards across College. These include, but not limited to, Finance and Investment Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, Digital Transformation Board, Digital Advisory Group, 1599 at the Royal College Board, the HOPE Foundation and Inclusion Advisory Group and Forum. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Digital and the Director of Finance, Operations and ICT. The post holder will work closely with the College Corporate Office Team and will be expected to be able to commit, on occasion, to working outside normal office hours as many College meetings run into the early evening.

The College supports hybrid working practices including working from home, however, regular attendance in Glasgow city centre would also be a requirement of the role.

About You

  • At least 3 years’ experience in working in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence and interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven record of working in a multi-disciplinary organisation and the ability to coordinate different groups and activities
  • Proven administrative skills, including minute taking and diary management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Discretion and sensitivity are essential
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills including ability to prioritise effectively and demonstrate a high attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office and databases
  • Excellent team working skills together with an ability to work on own initiative
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and data protection matters desirable
