The Summer 2017 edition of College News is now available

10 Jul 2017

The latest edition of College News is now available.

Our cover story in this issue is the launch of the College’s report on the value of international volunteering, titled ‘Global Citizenship in the Scottish Health Service’. The report, which is the first comprehensive review of international volunteering activity by NHS Scotland staff, puts forward recommendations to coordinate and support volunteering activity to harness the substantial benefits to the NHS.

This issue covers plans by the College to launch a new philanthropic fund, ‘HOPE – The Royal College Foundation’; a review of the Glasgow University Remote and Rural Medicine Society’s (GURRMS) inaugural conference; and a look back at the College’s highly successful fourth triennial conference, Excellence in Healthcare 2017, which took place at the beginning of June. It also contains the usual updates from each of the Faculties.
