Christine is Professor of Oral Surgery and Violence Reduction at the University of Glasgow's School of Medicine Dentistry and Nursing, Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery and one of the directors of the charity Medics against Violence. She trained in Academic Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Glasgow and Aberdeen before taking up her consultant post in 2008.
She is an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health, a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and was awarded an OBE for her work in violence prevention in 2016.
As Dean and Vice President (Dental), Christine hopes to be able to promote the views of Members and Fellows of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and to focus on the areas of inequality, wellbeing and sustainability.
