New national guideline for autism spectrum disorders

The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) has published a new national clinical guideline for the assessment, diagnosis and interventions for children, young people, adults and older adults with autism spectrum disorders.This evidence based guideline covers:

• screening and surveillance
• diagnosis and assessment
• clinical recommendations and service provision
• recommendations for further research
• a checklist for information provision for patients
