The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) is recognised by the General Medical Council as a sponsor within the UK Department of Health Medical Training Initiative (MTI).
A key activity for College is the identification of appropriately qualified international medical graduates (IMGs) who can be matched with spare training capacity which has not been filled by UK or EU doctors.
To identify this capacity, College views the role of its Fellows and Members as vital – effectively acting as our eyes and ears in hospitals throughout the country.
The MTI presents an exciting opportunity for overseas graduates, whilst ensuring that all training positions are utilised to the maximum benefit of both the graduate and the receiving hospital.
Should you be aware of any spare capacity which can be considered under the MTI, please contact us at MTI@rcpsg.ac.uk or call us on 0141 221 6072.
