We express our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the Clutha Vaults Bar on Friday evening. We also extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery to all those who were injured.
We endorse all the comments that have been made in regard to the skill and bravery of all the rescue services. We recognise that a number of our Fellows and Members significantly aided the rescue effort and the ongoing medical care of the injured and are gratified by the contribution they are making.
We are especially proud to be the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of this remarkable city whose citizens have once again shown great qualities in being prepared to lay down their lives for their fellow Glaswegians.
