World Child Cancer is a UK-based charity which helps children with cancer in the world’s poorest countries where eight out of ten receive no treatment, palliative care or painkillers.
It works by twinning paediatric oncology units in the developed world with hospitals in the developing world, providing training and mentoring for staff and treatment for patients.
For example the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh has helped to establish a children’s cancer unit in Ghana.
Tickets are £55.
