Foundation Day Service

Traditionally, the representatives of the College attend a service in Glasgow Cathedral on the first Sunday after its Annual General Meeting to commemorate its foundation and to pay tribute to Peter Lowe by laying a wreath on his tomb.

Our Founder, Maister Peter Lowe, is buried within the grounds of Glasgow Cathedral. Traditionally, the representatives of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow attend a service in Glasgow Cathedral on the first Sunday after its Annual General Meeting to commemorate its foundation and to pay tribute to Peter Lowe by laying a wreath on his tomb.
This year, the service will be held on Sunday, 8th December at 11am and College Fellows, Members, family and friends are invited. Please let Sandra Clearie know if you will attend so that seating can be reserved. sandra.clearie@rcpsg.ac.uk.
