Organised by the Scottish Academy of Royal Colleges Trainee Doctors Group this is a meeting aimed at trainee and trained doctors from all specialties. We have put together a wide ranging programme covering non-clinical topics relevant to all practitioners with some excellent speakers. Topics to be covered include: NHS culture and physician health (Claire Gerada), Mentoring, the impact of Shape of Training, Human factors in patient safety, Quality Improvement – what can frontline staff do and Rotas and Professionalism – creating professional working patterns.

This symposium will be invaluable for those interested in promoting excellence in Scottish training and medical practice. They will also be useful for covering non-clinical CPD and for those preparing for specialty or consultant interviews. We are also accepting abstracts on related topics until 31st January. Bookings can be made on the RCSEd website. For further information please e-mail Ashley Stevenson.
