Although there is still no announcement of a new round for 2013, Consultants considering applying for an award are advised to complete their application now. This applies to Consultants employed in England and Wales only. Consultants may seek a supporting statement from their Medical Royal College.
College nominations for Platinum awards are submitted via the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges. The Academy reviews Platinum nominations from all of the Colleges before submitting recommendations to the ACCEA. Those applying for a Platinum award who feel they have undertaken activities on behalf of the College which merit support for their application, should submit application forms to nominations@rcpsg.ac.uk by 0900 on Tuesday, 7th May.
Applications for Bronze, Silver and Gold awards are by way of self-nomination and submitted online direct to ACCEA. Again, a Consultant may seek a supporting statement from their Medical Royal College. In anticipation of a 2013 round being announced, the College invites applications from Fellows seeking support. Forms should be completed in accordance with the current guidance which is available here. Please note that this guidance relates to 2012 and may be subject to change.
It is also anticipated and there will be a renewals round for 2013 and this is the first year that those applying for a renewal may seek a supporting citation from their Medical Royal College.
Those who feel they have undertaken activities on behalf of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow which merit support should submit their application by 0900 on Tuesday 28th May to nominations@rcpsg.ac.uk.
