SAS Forum

We are inviting applications for additional members of the College SAS Forum throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland to enhance our existing working group.

About Us

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is a worldwide community of inspiring health professionals working together to advance the profession and improve patient care. Together we’re a force for good, determined to make a positive difference, and passionate about speaking up for the profession.

Our community is made up of the expertise and experience of our 15,000+ outstanding, hardworking members, supported by over 100 College staff.

With care and compassion at our core, our work is guided by our values of inclusivity, integrity, community, innovation, and inspiring, and we are committed to living these values and behaviours through the way we work and interact with each other.

The Role

As a Fellow or Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, you are already part of a growing community, who are passionate about patient care, and are leading and influencing the future of our profession.

Our SAS Forum are ambassadors who help promote the unique values of our College, and are able to explain who we are, what we stand for and what we do to a new generation of clinicians across the UK and Ireland.

Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, and with direction and support from the College, the SAS Forum member will work to action the College’s SAS Strategy, advise the College Council on issues that affect SAS-Grade Physicians, Surgeons and Dentists while enabling members to achieve their full potential as healthcare professionals and giving them an influential voice.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

We are keen that our SAS Forum Members are as diverse as possible, and we hope to attract applications from underrepresented groups, including Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people; people with disabilities; LGBT+ people; people with gender diverse identities; and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Application is by submission of application form. Completed application and Equal Opportunities forms should be returned by email to SASDoctors@rcpsg.ac.uk by 1 November 2024.
