Overview
You are warmly invited by College President, Professor Hany Eteiba to attend this year’s Annual President’s Conference, a forward-looking programme focused on Shaping the Future: NHS Leadership for an AI-Enabled Workforce.
This one-day event will bring together healthcare professionals to explore how leadership within the NHS is evolving in response to rapid advances in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and changing workforce dynamics. Through a series of expert-led sessions, discussions, and interactive panels, the programme will examine how leaders can drive meaningful system-wide change, foster collaboration across organisational boundaries, and support multidisciplinary teams through uncertainty and transformation.
The conference will also address the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in clinical practice, including ethical decision-making, data-informed leadership, digital inclusion, and ensuring equitable access to care. Delegates will be encouraged to reflect on how innovation can be implemented responsibly while maintaining the human aspects of healthcare.
In the afternoon, the focus will shift to developing the next generation of leaders - exploring how individuals can identify their leadership style, sustain themselves in demanding roles, and build the skills needed to lead effectively in an increasingly digital NHS.
This annual gathering offers a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and consider practical steps to prepare for a future where leadership, technology, and compassionate care must work hand in hand.
In recent years, we have examined the growing use of artificial intelligence in medicine and its potential to transform the way we deliver patient care. Digital transformation across the NHS will not only change how we interact with patients but also how health professionals work together.
Join us as we shape the future of the NHS – where empowered medical leadership and an AI-enabled workforce come together to drive innovation, while preserving the human touch at the heart of compassionate care.
