Fellows and Members of the College have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to health and patient care in the King’s New Year’s Honours List.
They include pioneers in dentistry, podiatry and psychology.
Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE):
Mrs Catherine Louise Taylor-Weetman for services to dentistry.
Mrs Taylor-Weetman is a Consultant in Dental Public Health based in Shropshire and Staffordshire and is part of the Dental Local Professional Network at NHS England.
Ms Deborah Monk for services to podiatry for homeless people.
Ms Monk received our College's President's Medal in 2021. She is the founder and Chair of Forgotten Feet, a charity which provides podiatry services to those in need.
Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBE):
Professor Rhona Flin for services to research.
Professor Flin is an Emeritus Professor of Applied Psychology at the University of Aberdeen, and a Professor of Industrial Psychology at Robert Gordon University. She also works as an academic advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
