Biography
Sam has worked as a tropical doctor among remote and under-served populations in the Amazon, Congo and Kalahari. Sam is a member of the UK Emergency Medical Team and has been on deployments in response to Ebola and Zika. He is a regular contributor to BBC Scotland on matters related to outbreak response. Sam was the medical officer for the first complete navigation of the Amazon by traditional reed boat. He is current Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Travel Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and serves as a tutor for the International Diploma in Expedition & Wilderness Medicine.
