Biography
Qualifying in 2001 with BSc in Podiatry from Glasgow Caledonian University I have established my career in Glasgow working in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and in the independent sector.
Having held specialist and advanced practice posts in practice education, nail surgery and foot protection I have developed a specialist interest in vascular disease in the lower limb. I have been involved in the set up and on-going success of virtual multidisciplinary diabetic foot diseased MDT involving colleagues from Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, Vascular and Orthopaedic surgery. I am involved in national steering groups for vascular disease assessment, prevention and management by Podiatrists.
With a development focus around clinical specialism I have completed post graduate education in prescribing and Pg Diploma in Podiatric Medicine.
I have a keen interest in developing colleagues and have mentored and supported a number of Podiatrists helping them succeed in their careers.
