Biography
Craig is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery at The University of Glasgow's School of Medicine Dentistry and Nursing. He is the Dental School Quality Assurance and Enhancement Officer and is the Year 3 Lead on the BDS programme.
Prior to taking up his current role he spent time working as a Speciality Dentist in OMFS, a Specialist in Oral Surgery with the Public Dental Service in NHS GGC, redeveloping the service in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as Clinical Lead and has also worked within a multidisciplinary specialist referral practice. He obtained his MFDS (2005), MSurgDent (2011) and completed a Diploma in Healthcare Professions Education (2014) before being admitted as a Fellow of the College in 2021.
In his current role he is heavily involved in education and assessment. He is a Clinical Supervisor of StRs, an Educational Supervisor for DCTs and previous was the University of Glasgow Rep on the Scottish Oral Surgery STC. He is also a NES Dental Appraisal Tutor.
Craig has been involved with the college since 2013 as an examiner for MFDS and recently as an examiner for ISFE and looks forward to the challenges that this new role will bring.
