Biography
After completing his MDS Masters in Dentistry from India, Mr Nusrath pursued medicine at Leicester and completed his basic surgical training in the East Midlands. He undertook specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the North East and has had further exposure with travelling fellowships at the Plastic Surgery Unit at Singapore General Hospital, the Head & Neck unit at MD Anderson Cancer Centre Texas USA, a microvascular fellowship in Dublin and has completed an Advanced Head & Neck Fellowship at Coventry.
Mr Nusrath is currently a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon/Head & Neck Oncology Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals & an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield.
He has held the positions of MDT Lead for Head & Neck cancer for South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire & Chair of the Cancer Alliance, Head & Neck NHS England and is the current Training Programme Director in Sheffield for Dental Core Training in OMFS. He is an examiner to the college and an Honorary visiting professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is now also an Ordinary Member of the Dental Executive Board of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
His main areas of interest are Oral and Maxillofacial facial/Head & Neck cancer, Reconstruction, Craniofacial Trauma, Salivary gland surgery, Minor Oral Surgery and Robotic Head & Neck Surgery.
In his free-time he likes travelling, cooking for family & friends and enjoys Qawwali Music.
