Biography
Mrs Mah Muneer Khan graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, Pakistan in 1992. She was the Best Graduate of her session. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, which also awarded her the Traveling Fellowship in 2003, to visit the Breast Unit of New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, UK. In addition, she is a fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. She is currently Chairs the Department of Surgery, Khyber Teaching Hospital and Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, Pakistan, where besides clinical work, teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Mrs Khan has a number of publications in national and international journals. She is an undergraduate examiner and examiner for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. She is a member of the Breast Cancer Research Group of Khyber Medical University and is involved in supervising research work for FCPS and PhD students.
Mrs. Khan’s field of interest is Breast disease. In addition, she is interested in evidence based medicine, clinical audit and ethics. She is passionate about inculcating professionalism in her trainees. She is proud of the fact that her trainees have published in national and international journals, and have presented at conferences both within and outside the country. She strongly advocates making the best use of available resources, maintaining standards already achieved and taking these standards to a higher level.
