Biography
Sarah is a Reader and Principal Lecturer at the Wales Centre for Podiatric Studies, Cardiff Metropolitan University. She is currently the Programme Director for the BSc(Hons) Podiatry programme and teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level on various disciplines. Sarah is currently Editor-in-Chief of Prosthetics and Orthotics International, Associate Editor for The Foot and Ankle Online Journal and Contributing Editor for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. She is also Co-Editor and author of a two-volume book titled Lower Extremity Biomechanics: Theory and Practice (BiPedMed Press,USA) and Editor of Posture: Health, Exercise and Benefits (Nova Science Publishers, Inc, USA).She has published a variety of articles and presented at national and international conferences. Her research is in the field of gait and posture, and she has a particular interest in the role of foot function in patellofemoral joint pain, limb dominance and post-operative outcomes of foot surgery. She currently works collaboratively locally and worldwide with various health professionals and disciplines in Brazil, Iran, Ireland and the USA. Sarah is Chair of the South East Wales Branch, Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, and is a member of the Podiatric Medicine Education, Training and Professional Development Board, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow) and a member of the Research and Development Committee for the College of Podiatry.
