Walk
Glasgow is a beautiful city with stunning architecture and exceptional parks. It's very easy to get around on foot, and the locals are very helpful.
We highly recommend you spend some time exploring the city while you're here, as Glasgow has a charm that's hard to find anywhere else. Discovering Britain offers a free self-guided walk which passes by our College on St Vincent Street.
Bike
The College provides off street bicycle racks and shower facilities for anyone wishing to travel to the College by bicycle. Glasgow also has a public cycle hire scheme operated by Voi.
Train
Glasgow has two main railway stations – Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central Station. Both are about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the College. Plan your journey with ScotRail.
Bus or coach
We're well connected to bus and coach services. Traveline Scotland will help you to plan your route by bus. Coach services reach Buchanan Bus Station from all over Scotland and the rest of the UK.
Car
Glasgow is easy to get to by car. Though, the motorways can get congested during rush hour (8.00–9.30 and 16.00–18.00).
A number of clearly signposted car parks are accessible and within walking distance of the College. On-street parking is available on the streets around the College. There is a two-hour parking restriction on most city centre streets, though often parking is free after 18.00. Make sure to check the parking restriction in place before leaving your car.
Fly
Glasgow Airport: Located about 20 minutes from the city centre, there are frequent domestic and international services. An airport bus service, Glasgow Airport Express, is located immediately outside the airport building and will take you to Buchanan Bus Station. If you're coming directly to or from our College, the bus stops close by on Bothwell Street and Waterloo Street. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank directly outside Arrivals and private hire services, such as Uber, operate throughout Glasgow.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport: A little further away from Glasgow, but still easily reached. There is a train station connected to the airport that provides frequent services to the city. The journey takes around 45 minutes to Glasgow Central Station.
Edinburgh Airport: Also less than an hour from Glasgow. If you fly in to Edinburgh, the Citylink bus service connects you to Glasgow City Centre and this is the quickest route. Alternatively, you can take the tram into Edinburgh and get the train to Glasgow Queen Street.
