Clinical Leadership Award

This new award recognises senior clinicians from across all Faculties of the College who demonstrate outstanding clinical leadership skills and competence. In assessing the nominations, the College will use as its reference point the Clinical Leadership Competency Framework, published on behalf of the NHS Leadership Academy. This framework sets out five essential leadership areas or domains (Demonstrating Personal Qualities; Working with Others; managing Services; Improving Services; Setting Direction). Each domain contains a number of sub elements and is aimed at clinicians at all stages of their careers. This award will be judged at the level of ‘Experienced Practitioner’.
