(James) Stuart Duffin is a senior leader in charity governance and family and welfare policy, with more than three decades of experience across the United Kingdom, Ireland and Czechia, including work within EU policy settings. He has advised the Families and Societies Initiative at the Stockholm University Demography Unit and is a regular contributor to Population Europe.
He is Chief Executive of Counselling Services Glasgow and holds advisory roles with the Law Society of Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University Law School and the North West Glasgow Voluntary Sector Network. He also serves on the Anderson, City Centre, Yorkhill Area Partnership of Glasgow City Council.
He has extensive experience in safeguarding oversight, risk management and organisational strategy, and is recognised for advancing health equity, community development, access to justice and policy innovation. He is known for clear communication, analytical skills and principled leadership, and contributes to calls for evidence in the Scottish Parliament.
