Dr Linda Irvine, CEO

Appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in September 2025, Dr Linda Irvine has more than 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles.

From February 2024–September 2025, she served as Interim CEO, leading the College in achieving greater financial sustainability, growing its global membership and increasing the provision of high-quality education and assessment.

She works closely with the College President, Trustees, leadership team, employees and clinical volunteers to realise the College’s strategic goals. Prior to her appointment as Interim CEO, Dr Irvine was Deputy CEO and Director of Membership and Engagement. She joined the College in July 2012, during which time the membership community almost doubled in size and expanded to more than 100 countries.

She has held leadership roles in both commercial and third sector organisations and is known for her values-driven leadership. She has also served as a Trustee of one of Scotland’s largest charities.
