Mr Muir Brown, Director of Membership and Engagement
As Interim Director of Membership and Engagement, Muir Brown is responsible for the recruitment, retention and engagement of all College Members. He leads two teams focused on delivering a first-class customer experience, from the moment individuals apply to join through every stage of their career as they engage with the College’s networks, groups, committees and boards. He also ensures that College governance is fully compliant with regulations and that elections to Council and the Faculty Executive Boards are conducted fairly and credibly.
Muir has more than 30 years’ experience in international relations and business development. Before joining the College, he held senior roles at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, where he contributed to expanding ACCA’s global networks and supported educational projects to strengthen the accountancy profession in developing countries. He also spent many years supporting UK foreign policy in Russia and the former Soviet States on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Muir graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in Russian Language and Literature.
