Mr Euan McGivern qualified as a podiatrist from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, in 2011 and later completed a Master’s degree in the theory of podiatric surgery in 2019. He has extensive experience within the National Health Service, working in specialist and advanced practice roles across musculoskeletal podiatry, clinical education and orthopaedics before transitioning into management in 2020.
Mr McGivern has held leadership positions in three Scottish National Health Service podiatry services and was appointed Head of Podiatry for NHS Lothian, Scotland, in 2024. He is passionate about developing people and services to improve patient outcomes and focuses on designing accessible, inclusive care models that meet the needs of all service users, particularly those who face barriers to accessing podiatry.
Alongside his leadership responsibilities, he maintains clinical interests in musculoskeletal podiatry, nail surgery and the use of local anaesthetics.
