Andrew Leitch

Andrew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1996 and completed his Vocational Training in Fraserburgh, where he also undertook a part-time clinical attachment in the Oral Surgery Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He returned to Glasgow in 1999, working across NHS and private practices before opening his own practice in Knightswood in 2006. After a fire, he relocated and re-established the practice as Riverbank Dental in a purpose-built facility in Yoker in 2014.

Andrew has been active in postgraduate education since 2007, serving almost continuously as a Vocational Trainer. He was appointed a Vocational Training Adviser with NES in 2015 and is currently the West Block Adviser. He has a particular interest in supporting the transition from undergraduate training to VDP and has served on the Glasgow Undergraduate VT interface committee for eight years, as well as the BDS Admissions Committee. He holds a Diploma in Dental Primary Care and gained MFDS RCPS Glasgow in 2022.
