Mr Andrew Leitch graduated from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1996 and completed his vocational training in Fraserburgh, Scotland, where he also undertook a part-time clinical attachment in oral surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Scotland. He returned to Glasgow, Scotland, in 1999, working across National Health Service and private practices before opening his own practice in Knightswood, Scotland, in 2006. Following a fire, he relocated and re-established the practice as Riverbank Dental in a purpose-built facility in Yoker, Scotland, in 2014.
Mr Leitch has been involved in postgraduate education since 2007. He served as a Vocational Trainer from 2007–2023, was appointed Vocational Training Adviser with NHS Education for Scotland in 2015, and became Assistant Postgraduate Dean in 2023. He has a particular interest in supporting the transition from undergraduate study to Vocational Dental Practitioner training and is a member of the University of Glasgow Bachelor of Dental Surgery Admissions Committee. He holds a Diploma in Dental Primary Care, gained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2022, and is a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators.
