Dr Albert Yeung has been Consultant in Dental Public Health with NHS Lanarkshire, Scotland, since 2007. He is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and a Professional Adviser to the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman.
Dr Yeung is originally from Hong Kong, China, and studied dentistry in Glasgow, Scotland. He has a diverse professional background in dentistry in the United Kingdom, including general dental practice, hospital and community dental services, and teaching in dental schools.
He is Chair of the Scottish Council of the British Dental Association and President of its West of Scotland Branch. He is also Chair of the Specialty Advisory Committee for Dental Public Health and co-editor of the Oxford Dictionary of Dentistry (second edition). He has served the College as Director of the Dental Faculty Regional Advisers Board, a Member of the Dental Education and Professional Development Board, and an Examiner for the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination and Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
