About the 425th Anniversary Leadership Lectures 

The College is celebrating its 425th anniversary – that’s more than four centuries of innovation, speaking up for healthcare professionals and enhancing patient care. 

This lecture series brings together some of the world’s most influential speakers to inspire the leaders of today and tomorrow. It aims to: 

  • Bring together renowned leaders from all backgrounds to engage and inspire
  • Open the door to new ideas and perspectives
  • Support resilience and build networks
  • Focus on collaboration 

Please note: This lecture is in person at the Royal College, attendance is free please book early to avoid disappointment. 

The first lecture in the series was given by Chemistry Nobel Prize laureate, Professor Sir David MacMillan, in April.

About our speaker

Sir John Curtice is Professor of Politics at the University of Strathclyde, and Senior Research Fellow at the National/Scottish Centre for Social Research and the ESRC’s ‘The UK in a Changing Europe’ initiative. He has written extensively about voting behaviour in elections and referendums in the UK, as well as on Scottish and British political and social attitudes more generally. 

He has been a co-editor of the National Centre’s annual British Social Attitudes report series for over 30 years, a co-director of the Scottish Social Attitudes series since 1999, and is a regular contributor to Scottish, British and international media coverage of politics in the UK. 

He is a Fellow of the British Academy, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Academy of Social Sciences, and the Political Studies Association. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and the Market Research Society.

The lectures are open to all leaders, and aspiring leaders, from healthcare and beyond. Speakers are drawn from the worlds of business, industry and academia.
