Deborah Wilson is a Fellow and ordinary Board Member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine’s Executive Board at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. She qualified as a podiatrist in 1997 and completed an MSc in Podiatry in 2014 at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU). She is currently a lecturer in podiatry (clinical academic) at GCU.
A lifelong learner, Deborah joined academia in 2015 following an NHS career in which she developed clinical expertise in diabetes, wound care and vascular conditions affecting the lower limb and foot. Her current post combines undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with her role as a podiatric clinical specialist in diabetes. The integration of these responsibilities has strengthened her commitment to podiatric education, supported through a collaborative partnership between GCU and NHS Lanarkshire.
