Dr Harunor Rashid
Dr Harunor Rashid is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Specialty of Child and Adolescent Health at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney, Australia. He undertook paediatric and tropical medicine training in Bangladesh, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UK, ultimately receiving, in 2009, Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of London. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Travel Medicine, RCPSG, and also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), London.
 
Dr Rashid is an active member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM), where he chairs the Mass Gathering Medicine Interest Group and serves on the ISTM Research and Awards Committee. He is also Section Editor for Mass Gatherings at the Journal of Travel Medicine. He is a member of the Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute and co‑led its Mass Gathering Medicine Node. In addition, he serves as a Strategic Advisory Network Member (Infection Prevention and Control) for the Mass Gathering Collaboration at Griffith University, Gold Coast.
Dr Rashid is also an active member of the Asia‑Pacific Alliance for the Control of Influenza (APACI) and the Immunisation Coalition (Australia).
