International Women’s Day Celebration

An evening to celebrate and empower women in healthcare.

2 March 2026
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow
Women talking

Members £45. Non members £45.

Overview

We’re delighted to invite you to our celebration at the College on Monday 2 March 2026 ahead of International Women’s Day (8 March 2026).

We hope you’ll come along for this special evening event which will bring together Fellows, Members and friends to recognise the impact and collective strength of women in healthcare.

The theme of International Women’s Day for 2026 highlights that "when we give, we gain".

In honour of Give to Gain, we are partnering with Dress for Success Scotland, a charity which supports women into a career by providing professional clothing, a network of support and personal skills to help them thrive in work as well as in life. We encourage you to bring along any pre-loved workwear you’d like to give as part of our College donation.

We’re pleased that Lord-Lieutenant Jill Young MBE will join us to deliver a talk on empowering women into leadership. Jill will discuss her personal journey from working in the NHS to representing the Crown as Lord-Lieutenant.

Tickets are priced at £45 and include an arrival drink and two-course dinner.
