Overview
The Mentorship Training Programme is an established in-person three-part course for all those who are currently acting as mentors or preparing to take on a mentoring role. It also supports mentees who want to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress into a mentor position. The programme focuses on practical mentoring skills and structured mentorship that supports professional development in clinical settings.
In their most recent 'good medical practice guidance', the General Medical Council (GMC) promote mentoring as part of continuous professional development and good leadership practice. If you already are a mentor, it highlights the requirement of keeping your skills up to date and undertaking appropriate training.
