A contract shall be deemed to have been made between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow ("the College") and the booking client ("learner") when the learner has completed a purchase of a learning module via the College website and the College has subsequently enrolled the learner in the relevant learning package(s) on the Digital Learning Portal – enrolment being proof of such acceptance.
A full description of the learning materials and modalities for learning is provided on the College Website, including details of CPD and indicative information on the expected duration of the learning module(s), although self-paced modules can be taken at the candidate’s own pace.
Before purchasing any learning module, it is the learner’s responsibility to ensure that they have the required equipment software and sufficient network access to take part in learning module. All of our modules are hosted on a modern learning management system (Canvas) that is designed to work on modern browsers on both PCs and mobile devices. We recommend Google Chrome for optimal browsing experience, but please note that older devices and browsers (eg Internet Explorer) may not fully support the eLearning platform. Pleaser refer to Instructure’s Browser and computer requirements
All learners will be provided with an email address for assistance and learners having problems accessing the digital content can contact this for standard queries after purchase and at any point where the retains access. It is acknowledged that it may not be possible to solve all issues as these can be based on the participant’s equipment, software and quality of their network access/provision.
Should the learner be unable to access the purchased materials due to incompatibility with local equipment or network issues, the College may consider a refund if no alternative means of accessing the material is available: however, it remains the responsibility of the learner to ensure that the have adequate and compatible equipment.
All trademarks, service marks, trade names, slogans, logos, and other indicia of origin that appear at or in connection with the learning module are the property of the College and/or its affiliates. Learners may not copy, display or use any of these marks without prior written permission by the relevant owner. The learning package and/or portions of the package may be protected under patent law as the subject of issued patents and/or pending patent applications.
The College accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred while using material or information gathered from College learning materials.
The copyright of all learning material rests with the trainer, speaker or the College and the College will not be held responsible for any infringements as a result of plagiarism, libel, slander or misuse of material.

The College will not be held liable for delay in delivery, or failure to deliver due to any cause outside of the College’s reasonable control. In the instance of Force Majeure, delay or failure to deliver will not constitute a breach of contract and the timeframe for delivery by the College will be extended by a reasonable period.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland, unless otherwise submitted by the College.
Our refund policy can be found here. We need to expand this to include digital content, which I suggest below:
Our Digital Learning Modules are sold on the basis that they match the description available to the learner on the website prior to purchase. As our digital learning modules offer instant access there is no cancellation period.
However, in the event that a module is purchased by accident or, for example, the learner selects a different module from the one intended, please contact the digital learning team via digital@rcpsg.ac.uk to discuss whether a replacement or refund can be arranged. Please note, however that a refund will only be permitted if the learner has only viewed or accessed up to10% of the available materials.
It is learner’s responsibility to ensure that their devices and network connections are compatible with the web-based learning environment, and only in exceptional circumstances will we offer a refund if a user’s device(s) are not compatible with the learning content.
