Past President Professor Frank Dunn is one of the distinguished guests looking forward to a unique event celebrating the life and legacy of AJ Cronin and his part in laying the foundations of the NHS and invites Fellows and Members to join him at the event.
As a renowned doctor, author and medical alumnus of the University of Glasgow, A.J. Cronin’s novel The Citadel has been widely credited as the inspiration behind the launch of the National Health Service. He was hailed as the J.K. Rowling of his day with several novels translated into Hollywood blockbusters in the 1930s. He also authored the long running TV series Dr Finlay’s Casebook.

Event starts: 7.00pm, including a Q&A session which will start at 7.55pm
Event concludes: 8.30pm
