New Associate Directors appointed for Examinations

The College has appointed two new Associate Directors for examinations. Dr Moe Thaw Oo is our new Associate Director of Medical Examinations and Siobhan Kyle is our new Associate Director of Dental Examinations:
The College has appointed two new Associate Directors for examinations. Dr Moe Thaw Oo is our new Associate Director of Medical Examinations and Siobhan Kyle is our new Associate Director of Dental Examinations:
Dr Moe Thaw Oo – Associate Director of Medical Examinations
Moe is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician at the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. He is the Lead Geriatrician at the West Midlands Parkinson’s Network.
He keeps a strong portfolio in Medical Education including being the Foundation Year 2 Training Programme Director at the Trust. Dr Oo is an elected Council Member and the College’s regional physician advisor for West Midlands.
Dr Oo is a member of the Scenario Editorial Committee (SEC) in the MRCP(UK). He has obtained extensive experiences in the MRCP PACES examinations. He examines PACES regularly for the College in the UK and internationally. He is a chair examiner in the College and he hosts the PACES Examination regularly in Sandwell General Hospital where he is based.
Siobhan Kyle – Associate Director of Dental Examinations
Siobhan graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1995. After a year spent in Vocational Training, she entered the hospital service with her junior years being spent as an SHO in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in several units in Scotland and England. Following on from this, Siobhan was a Staff Grade in Oral Surgery in Glasgow Dental Hospital before moving to Fife to establish the first Oral Surgery Specialist Service in primary
care in the UK.
She returned to Glasgow as an Associate Specialist in 2005 and gained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and was admitted to the General Dental Council specialist list in Oral Surgery in 2001. She was then awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2014.
Siobhan has a passion for education and training and greatly enjoys being involved in this having been an educational supervisor for almost 20 years. She is excited about her new role as Associate Director of Dental Examinations and looks forward to the opportunity this affords her to continue to be closely involved with our College.
