Mrs Simone McConnie is a UK-trained podiatrist who qualified in 1993 and has extensive experience serving Barbados and the Caribbean. She is Co-Chair for the North American and Caribbean region with D-Foot International, Chair and co-founder of the Caribbean Wounds Network, Chair of the Paramedical Council, and co-founder and Trustee of the Maria Holder Diabetes Centre.
Mrs McConnie is Founder and Managing Podiatrist of Comfeet Footcare Clinic in Barbados and is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, ALPS, the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) and the Royal College of Podiatry. She has received multiple honours, including the Oscar Jordan Award and recognition from D-Foot International and the Royal College of Podiatry. She is a published author and international speaker, advocating for podiatry, wound care and the prevention of avoidable amputations.
