Dr Puneet Batra is an orthodontist, academic leader and cleft-care specialist with extensive clinical, research and professional experience. He is Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences), Dean of the School of Dental Sciences and the School of Allied Health Sciences, and Professor and Head of Orthodontics at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, India. He serves as President of the Indian Orthodontic Society (2024–25), is Past President of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies (2018–19), and is a Central Government nominee to the Dental Council of India (2019–25).
Dr Batra is a Council Member of the World Federation of Orthodontists and an Executive Committee Member of the Asia Pacific Orthodontic Society, contributing to international cleft-care and dental research bodies. An alumnus of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Gold Medallist, he has received multiple national and international awards. With more than 160 publications and an H-index of 22, he continues to advance global cleft-care and evidence-based orthodontics.
