My Mentoring
My Mentoring is a community platform exclusively for College members of all disciplines and all career stages. You can use it to connect with others in a safe and secure way. As a member, access to this benefit is free.
You can sign up to My Mentoring as either a mentee, a mentor, or both. Both roles will allow you to maintain your CPD and increase your future employability.
Mentors are supportive, open and honest, yet ready to challenge and question their mentee when necessary; encouraging the mentee to develop their own skills and abilities.
A mentee is someone who wants to achieve their full potential; learning from a person experienced in supporting others’ personal and professional development.
You will find a wealth of resources on My Mentoring designed to support you in your role as either a mentee or mentor, and help you make the most of your mentoring relationships.
My Mentoring is easy to use. Start today by creating your profile and searching for a match that suits you.

Being a mentor is an incredible way to connect and build relationships with other like-minded members. Through you can share professional knowledge, skills and experience, and help others to develop and flourish in their careers.
As a mentor, you can improve your leadership, communication and coaching skills, achieve increased job satisfaction and a sense of personal accomplishment.
You'll be supportive, open and honest, yet ready to challenge and question your mentee when necessary; encouraging the mentee to develop their own skills and abilities.
Mentors play a key role within the College, supporting mentees in their professional development, as well as broadening your own mentoring skillset and diversifying your network of colleagues. You can mentor someone beyond your specialty or profession – we are a multi-disciplinary College and mentoring is open to all our members.
To become a mentor using our My Mentoring platform, you need to have completed an appropriate training course – the College Mentoring Programme course, or an equivalent mentoring qualification. To see when the next course takes place, check our listing of upcoming non-clinical skills courses.
