Join us to lead the delivery and facilitation of our Performance Support for Doctors in Training course. This is an online course developed to help senior clinicians support doctors who are experiencing difficulties.

Reporting to the Professional Skills Education Board Chair, the Course Lead will be responsible for shaping and delivering this popular and well-established course.

The role

The Course Lead will be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of the Performance Support for Doctors in Training course, which is delivered online twice per year to cohorts of approximately 10 delegates. Working closely with College staff, the Course Lead will create an engaging and supportive learning environment, facilitate discussions and draw on their professional expertise to enhance participant learning.

The role also includes contributing to the ongoing review and development of course content, ensuring materials remain current, and relevant to the needs of doctors in training. The Course Lead will support continuous quality improvement by reviewing delegate feedback and collaborating with the College to maintain the high standard of the programme.

Applicants should be a Consultant with several years' experience of educational supervision, training, coaching, or supporting trainee performance and wellbeing. Ideally, candidates will have held a leadership role within medical education, such as Training Programme Director, Postgraduate Dean, Director of Medical Education, or a similar position.
