Julie joins the College from the Mental Health Foundation, where she has been the Scotland-based Associate Director (Devolved Nations), and conversant with the Scottish health policy and voluntary sector scene.
Based in Glasgow, Julie has a background in health promotion, health-related research and collaborations, and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Strathclyde. She will take up her new role with Obesity Action Scotland in January 2026.

Julie brings valuable experience and leadership to our work, and we look forward to working with her team to focus attention on the preventable health, social, and economic burden of obesity in Scotland.”
