Workforce burnout and resilience in the NHS and social care
College President Professor Jackie Taylor has endorsed the findings of the Workforce burnout and resilience in the NHS and social care report which concludes that an overhaul is needed to tackle NHS and social care workforce burnout which has now reached a state of emergency.
UK Physicians’ Census
We continue to work with the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh and London to develop a comprehensive annual snapshot of the workforce challenges facing physicians across the UK. You can find the full report here.
Supporting professional activities
Our College continues to raise the issue of erosion of the healthy balance in time spent between direct clinical care and supporting professional activities with government and employers. We’ll continue to highlight this issue over the months and years to come.
Workforce planning
The College is represented on a number of Scottish Government groups which look at workforce planning, including the National Workforce Planning Group and the Workforce Senior Leadership Group.
