Education and assessment are at the heart of what the College offers Members and prospective Members. Ms Fiona Winter leads both the Education and Assessment teams, with her remit including the College’s educational programme, the development of digital education and all career-grade examinations.
Ms Winter and the Education team work in partnership with the College’s clinicians to identify relevant education and develop and deliver it through face-to-face, hybrid and online formats. This includes the College’s full range of educational events, from one-hour webinars to 18-month postgraduate diploma courses. Working with colleagues in the Royal Colleges, the Assessment team organises and delivers written and clinical examinations in the United Kingdom and internationally. This includes training examiners, contributing to the development of standards and considering how examinations will continue to evolve.
Originally training as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Ms Winter spent 20 years developing and delivering education and assessment for finance professionals before joining the College in 2019.
