Jamie Dickie

Liz graduated from University of Glasgow 1985, having also completed an intercalated degree in Immunology. She gained a masters degree in Clinical Leadership in 2010. She is a Consultant Rheumatologist in Lanarkshire.

Liz has a strong commitment to medical training and has held a number of posts in postgraduate education locally and nationally. She is currently Associate Postgraduate Dean for Career Development and Performance Support in the Scotland Deanery. She has held a variety of roles in MRCP(UK) and has contributed to the redesign of the PACES examination. She has served as Director of Medical Education at RCPSG.

In her clinical work, Liz has developed subspecialty provision in Lanarkshire for patients with vasculitis and connective tissue disease as well as paediatric and adolescent services. She has an interest in team-based learning and the role of effective diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills in clinical practice, and is an advocate for lifelong learning as a contributor to patient safety and clinician wellbeing.
