This is a cadaveric course to equip trainees in approaches to the foot and ankle as well as modern surgical management of challenging conditions.
Learning outcomes:
- Approaches to the ankle
- Approaches to the midfoot
- Minimal access fixation of Achilles tendon ruptures
- The use of ankle and TTC fusion plates
- Midfoot fusions and fixation of lis franc fracture dislocations
- Fixation of calcaneal osteotomies with step plates
- Lateral column lengthening
- Fixation of posterior malleolar fractures
- An introduction to minimally invasive surgery
Suitable for training level ST6+
