• This is a cadaveric course to equip trainees in approaches to the foot and ankle as well as modern surgical management of challenging conditions.

  Learning outcomes:

  • Approaches to the ankle
  • Approaches to the midfoot
  • Minimal access fixation of Achilles tendon ruptures
  • The use of ankle and TTC fusion plates
  • Midfoot fusions and fixation of lis franc fracture dislocations
  • Fixation of calcaneal osteotomies with step plates
  • Lateral column lengthening
  • Fixation of posterior malleolar fractures
  • An introduction to minimally invasive surgery

  Suitable for training level ST6+
