The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is home to more than 14,000 Physicians, Surgeons, Dentists, Travel Medicine and Podiatric Medicine practitioners worldwide. Established in 1599, the role of the College is the same today as it was at the beginning; to help and support our membership community deliver the highest standard of health care to their patients.

The Deans of the four Faculties of Dental Surgery in the UK and Ireland have approved the creation of a dedicated team to manage and deliver the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examinations. The team will be located in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and managed by the College’s Examinations Unit. Responsible to the Management Board for the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examinations –Dental (ISFE) and reporting to the Head of Examinations, the ISFE Head of Operations focuses on the planning, delivery and development of the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship examinations, including line management responsibility for team members, compliance with standards, quality assurance and question bank activity.

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to establish and lead this team as soon as possible. Responsible for the full range of examination activities, including planning, delivery and development, a high level of initiative, flexibility and resilience is required.

The closing date is Wednesday 23rd October 2019 at 12 noon. It is anticipated that interviews will be held on Wednesday 30th October 2019 and candidates will be asked to undertake competency based tests.
