The Faculty of Dental Surgery is currently seeking an enthusiastic Fellow or Member to be part of our established network of Dental School Tutors across the UK. The Dental School Tutors form part the Faculties’ strategy to provide relevant, ongoing career support through education, training, assessment and examinations. We are now looking for someone based in Dental Schools above, who will:

  • Help us promote College events and exams to your junior staff and students. You will receive regular updates and circulars from our Dental Faculty to help you do this.
  • Encourage your junior staff and students to join our Faculty as student or affiliate members so that they can enjoy our many membership benefits at an early stage in their career.
  • Work with your local Dental Regional Advisor and our education department, to facilitate and promote an annual Faculty event locally. We have several blueprints for successful events that would be easily adapted to a local setting

As a Dental School Tutor you will be part of a network that the College regards as vital to its aim of setting the highest standard of health care.
Our Dental School Tutors will be Fellows or Members of the Faculty in good standing and associated with a UK Dental School. S/he will have a commitment to education, training and/or examinations and be able to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and professional expertise towards this important representative role. Our Fellows and Members working within the NHS are also welcome to apply if you hold a supervisory position. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in your current position.

The term of office is: 3 years
